The background:

The Bruised orange began in 2005 with a collection of performers and students in Ravenswood. As of 2009, they rent a storefront in Rogers Park, and are famous for putting on original works from the ground up, and their show 'I saw you', a staged reading of the personals section of the Chicago Reader.

After talking with Clint Sheffer, the artistic director, the Bruised Orange is looking to put together 'best practices' for their company, and to expand the board past the current group of artists and performers that make up the ensemble. I am meeting with the company for the first time tomorrow the 12th.
